How To Watch Worship: Live on Zoom
Step 1: Download Zoom Beforehand
To participate in our 9 AM Interactive Worship on Zoom, you’ll need the Zoom app installed on your device.

On a Computer (Windows or Mac):
- Open your internet browser and go to: https://zoom.us/download.
- Under "Zoom Client for Meetings," click Download.
- Once the download is complete, open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to install Zoom.

On a Phone or Tablet (iOS or Android):
- Open the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Search for “Zoom Cloud Meetings”.
- Tap Download or Install and wait for the app to install.
- Open the app and sign up or log in with your email address if prompted.
Step 2: Join Zoom Worship
You can join Zoom Worship using your computer, phone, or tablet.
On a Computer:
- Visit the Foothills Worship page at https://www.foothillsuu.org/watch.
- Click “Join on Zoom” under the 9 AM Interactive Worship section.
- Fill out the short form that appears and click Submit.
- Zoom will automatically open. If prompted, click Open Zoom Meetings.
On a Phone or Tablet:
- Open the Foothills Worship page in your browser or the Church Center app: https://www.foothillsuu.org/watch.
- Tap “Join on Zoom” under the 9 AM Interactive Worship section.
- Fill out the short form and tap Submit.
- When prompted, tap Open Zoom. If Zoom doesn’t open automatically, open the Zoom app manually and enter the Meeting ID and Passcode provided.
Step 3: Adjust Zoom Settings for the Best Experience
- Turn on Audio: Click Join Audio or Call via Device Audio.
- Turn on Video (optional): Click the camera icon labeled Start Video.
- Use Chat: Click the chat icon to interact with others during the service.
FAQs: Troubleshooting Common Issues
Q: Do I need a working microphone or camera to participate in Zoom worship?
- No, neither a microphone nor a camera is required. You can still fully participate by listening to the service and using the chat feature to interact or ask questions.
- While we love seeing your smiling face, turning on your camera is completely optional. You are welcome to join with your camera off and still feel connected to the community.
Q: I can’t download Zoom. What should I do?
- Make sure your device has enough storage space.
- Restart your device and try downloading again.
- You may be able to connect to the zoom meeting using your browser.
Q: The Zoom meeting isn’t opening. What’s wrong?
- Ensure Zoom is installed on your device.
- If the meeting doesn’t open automatically, go to the Zoom app, select Join a Meeting, and enter the Meeting ID and Passcode from the confirmation page.
Q: I can’t hear anything.
- Check that your device's volume is turned up.
- Make sure you’ve joined audio by clicking Join Audio or Call via Device Audio.
- If you’re using headphones, ensure they’re properly connected.
Q: My video isn’t working.
- Check that your camera is turned on by clicking Start Video.
- Ensure no other programs are using your camera. Close any video apps (e.g., FaceTime).
- Restart Zoom or your device if the issue persists.
Q: My screen is frozen or I keep getting disconnected.
- Check your internet connection. If you’re using Wi-Fi, move closer to your router.
- Close other apps or browser tabs that may be using your internet.
- Restart your device and rejoin the Zoom meeting.
Q: I’m getting “Meeting is full” or “Invalid Meeting ID.”
- Confirm you’re using the correct Zoom link from https://www.foothillsuu.org/watch.
- If the meeting is full, consider joining our 11 AM Livestream Worship on Church Center instead.
